FUNDaFIELD Mission:  FUNDaFIELD is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to enriching the lives of less fortunate youth in Africa through sports. The support from Coaches across Continents:  In partnership with FUNDaFIELD and XL Travel, Coaches across Continents provided full support for the trip to South Africa.  We provided cultural support for the young people to help them gain a greater understanding of life in Africa prior to their arrival in Mdluli.  We enjoyed trips in to Langa and Khayelitsha and a great game of street soccer.  We introduced FUNDaFIELD to PLAY SOCCER Africa and enjoyed two days with the local coaches.    We provided educational discussions to the teenagers to discuss how best to influence lives in Africa.  Additionally, we provided three days of soccer coaching at the tournament with local male and female teams.  Lastly, we ran a successful soccer training clinic for local volunteers to show them leadership games with football and also Football for Health and Wellness.

The success of the program:  The FUNDaFIELD group were an outstanding collection of young people.  They adapted to the unique challenges of Africa with enthusiasm and intelligence.  The organization of the tournament was exceptional and more than 450 players and 1500 spectators enjoyed two exciting days of soccer.  Coaches across Continents laid the groundwork for using the new fields for leadership education and during summer 2008, more than 3000 children played games from our curriculum.
