Harvard University Soccer supports our College Social Responsibility Program.
The Harvard University Soccer Program has joined with Coaches across Continents to support the education of children around the world using soccer to teach life and leadership skills.
The Mens’ team have are working on a number of projects to support the program including joining Coaches across Continents on Facebook and raising funds for players and alumni to work abroad. Coach Jamie Clark, along with Seamus Malin and Nick Gates spoke with the players about the importance of using soccer for the greater good.
Coach Katie Shields from the Womens’ Program is scheduled to work in Africa in 2009 as part of the support from Harvard Women’s Team. Katie was a 4 year starter at Harvard before taking up her current coaching position.
Support continues to come in from Harvard Soccer Alumni to build 5 new Hat-trick Initiative Programs through 2010.
