PLAY SOCCER Mission:  The mission of PLAY SOCCER is SPORT for DEVELOPMENT. The PLAY SOCCER grassroots community program aims to make the world a better place for children and youth who master and enjoy playing soccer/football while learning health, physical and social development life skills.

Regions where we provide support:  Coaches across Continents is working with PLAY SOCCER in Malawi in 2009.  The PLAY SOCCER program is outstanding and we are delighted to support in any way we can. 

The support from Coaches across Continents:   Coaches across Continents first talked with Play Soccer Africa in 2006 and has since consulted with this great program on a number of issues including curriculum development and football for life skills.  Work will continue in 2009 to develop on-line curriculum delivery and coach education.  In 2008 we provided support to the South Africa program at the coach training program in June and at the UNICEF player development day.   The Coaches across Continents Advisory Board is currently working on supporting the Malawi projects through on-line and on field curriculum training and by developing new field projects with our partner FUNDaFIELD.

The success of the program: PLAY SOCCER Malawi is extremely successful in its own right.  By working closely with Coaches across Continents we are sharing ’best practises’ and are therefore able to provide programs for more children in Africa.
